Project Data Window
The Project Data window appears once a project has been created or opened. This window is used to access the majority of MetaOmGraph's functions. Each aspect of the window is described below.
Data Table![]() |
Displays the row identifiers in the selected list. The data may be sorted by clicking the table headers. |
Filter field![]() |
If the filter field contains any text, the data table will only display rows which contain the text. Mutliple filters can be applied by separating search terms with a semicolon (;). For example, if the row identifiers contain pathway information from MetNetDB, typing calvin cycle;acetyl-coa biotin will cause the data table to display only genes from the Calvin Cycle and Acetyl-CoA Biotin Network pathways. |
Filter-to-list button![]() |
Creates a new list that contains the rows matched by the current filter. This button is only available if there is text in the filter field, and the filter matches at least one row. |
Plot button![]() |
Used for creating plots of the project data. Clicking this button will display a menu with the following choices:
|
Correlation button![]() |
Displays the correlation menu, used for calculating correlations of the selected row with the other rows in the active list. If multiple rows are selected, the first (or highest) selected row will be used as the "base" data. See the correlation help page for more information on this feature. |
Report button![]() |
Finds all columns in which the selected row is greater than a given value. |
Info button![]() |
If the selected rows contain arabidopsis gene identifiers (locus IDs, or affymetrix 8k/25k IDs), this button can be used to connect to an external database for more information on the selected genes. Clicking this button will display a menu with the following choices:
|
Lists![]() |
Lists allow MetaOmGraph to work with subsets of data. Correlations will only consider rows in the selected list. |
New List button![]() |
Create a new list. Lists can be created manually, or by pasting a list of identifiers. |
Edit List button![]() |
Edit the selected list. Used for adding or removing rows from the list. |
Rename List button![]() |
Renames the selected list. |
Delete List button![]() |
Deletes the selected list. |
